Placing orders for new locations

A home obviously includes inventory, and it will need to be replenished from time to time, or placed completely new when you move into a new home. Therefore, it is obviously very nice if you can place an order with items needed at a property. In this article, we will discuss placing orders for new locations in SIMA.

When you create a property, you can specify in advance which items are present, and which ones SHOULD be present. You can read more about creating a location and adding rooms and inventory in the related articles.

First, go to the Location tile in SIMA. To create a new location, click on the black + at the top of the screen. Next, go to the Rooms tab.

Once you have created the desired rooms, you can start adding inventory.  Once you have selected the desired inventory list, click on the arrow to the right of the items to display the items. Here you are going to check how many of these items are currently already present in the home. Are you missing items in the list? Then add them from your inventory by clicking Add item.

Have you checked all the items that are in the home and are still missing items that you would like to put there? Then you can place an order for the property. To do this, go to the heading with To order. Here you get the same items from the inventory list already suggested, because this is (normally) the base that should always be here.

Then you can indicate for each item whether and how much of it you still need in the house. So indicate here what you are still missing.

Have you finished filling in the house details? Then just click on Save at the bottom. The property is saved and your order is entered as an Issue for the appropriate party to process. You can always find the order in Location actions under Location Orders.
