Creating articles

At the top of the article dashboard, you will also see a black button with a plus sign (+). When you click this, you can choose to create a new article or an inventory list. For now, we're going to create an article. Click on the button marked Create Article.

In this new screen you can add new articles. You can give the article various information in the fields provided. A number of fields are required, namely:

• Name 
• Price -> don't have a price or don't want to show a price? Just fill in 0
• Category -> select the correct category for this item

Note! The article is stored under the English language by default. So if people make a control report / house and they use SIMA in English they will see the name you entered here. So pay attention to this and work in basic English!

By the way, you can add more languages. To do this, after creating the article, click on the article again and click on the pencil to change the article.

You can also see here that by default at the top of the article it says English(s). This is the default setting. If you also want to enter the Dutch translation (we definitely recommend this!), then select Dutch (NL) at the top to enter the Dutch translation. The field with Article name and Comment is automatically emptied if you select another language! The rest of the information remains.
