Tips to successfully generate a check report

Modified on Tue, 10 Oct, 2023 at 12:29 PM

Building a control report can be done in a variety of ways and, of course, can be of various sizes. Since you will (probably) mainly be creating checks on your cell phone or tablet, it is good to take a few factors into account. Indeed, for phones with relatively low working memory, processing a report with >50 photos can be a bit heavier! In order to get the report through successfully, I would like to share some tips with you.

  • Preferably don't upload more than 5 photos at a time from your gallery. To prevent your phone from getting too heavy and possibly crashing, it is advisable not to upload more than 5 photos at a time from your gallery. This improves the processing of the photos in the report!
  • Especially for older phones / phones with little working memory: preferably do not upload very large reports (>80 photos). Your phone may not have the capacity to send so much data. For example, do you notice that your phone becomes very slow or very warm? Then that's a sign that your phone is having trouble processing a report. So keep this in mind.
  • Don't suddenly scroll back up your report very quickly. If you have not downloaded the web application and are using the browser version of SIMA, then scrolling up will be seen as a refresh; this is a standard feature built into phones. So be aware of this and prevent it from refresh the whole report and you will lose all the data as a result. To avoid this risk, we recommend always downloading the web application (Android and IOS).
  • Always check your connection before you start. SIMA always ensures that your report is saved, even if you lose your internet connection in the meantime. However, if a report contains a lot of photos, your phone may not have enough memory to temporarily store the report in memory. So if you have the ability to switch to a better WIFI network / data in the house, then this is always a better choice!
