Ability to add incident types to issues

In SIMA, you have the ability to create an incident report. You can read more about this in this article. Within the incident report, we have added the option to assign a type to each issue. This type then determines the actions that follow. The type is displayed as a label, which you can also use to filter issues within the Issue tile.


  • Malfunction  → when an issue is assigned this type, only the issue is created; no further actions occur.
  • Damage  → the issue is created in the Issue tile, and a draft invoice is also automatically generated.
  • Cleaning  → the issue is created, and a draft invoice is prepared with the cleaning costs configured in your environment under My Organization.
  • Misconduct  → no issue is created, but a warning is logged for the resident. You can read more about the warning system in a separate release note called Resident Warning File. When choosing this type, you are also given options to:
    • Send an email with eviction text
    • Send an email with warning text
    • Send nothing


When the report is submitted, any selected email will be sent directly to the resident. You can provide the email     templates to us, and we will set them up for your environment.


  • Misconduct with Damage → works the same as regular misconduct, but a draft invoice is also created so that the damage can be charged.
