We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.
Previously, it was only possible to delete a user from SIMA when they no longer needed access. The drawback was that all locations, To Do’s, and Issues previously assigned to that person would become “orphaned.” This could distort exports and make it difficult to track who resolved tasks in the past. To address this, we have added the ability to block a user.
When you block a user, they remain in your user list but are marked with the status Blocked. All tasks and assets assigned to this user remain linked to them. This allows you to see in exports who completed which tasks and makes it easy within SIMA to filter which tasks or properties are still assigned to the blocked user. This ensures no tasks are lost and can be easily reassigned to a new user.
If needed, a user can still be permanently deleted from SIMA.
You can find the block function by clicking the person icon in the top right of SIMA and selecting Users. Click on any user, and you will see a new Block button has been added.
Note: Not everyone can access the user overview or block users; this depends on the permissions you have been granted within SIMA.
